Flora’s Nursery & Baby Loo

Here is Baby Flora’s nursery which I’ve promised many people I would post as soon as possible. I don’t know that I’d recommend embarking on a major construction project at 5 months pregnant, but fortunately the combination of an excellent contractor and God having us in His good graces intersected final inspection day with the day I started having contractions. My brother and I hung the wall art and filled the toy shelf literally with a contraction interrupting us every 10 minutes.

I adore the way the tree decal turned out by Dutch designer Inke Heiland. It’s made of vintage wallpapers and in emailing with Inke himself from the U.S. to Holland, I can assure he is a lovely person. The RHEA collection crib & dresser and toy library are by a beautiful eco-friendly company named Oeuf.  Our Monte glider gets nothing short of a lot of daily action, and the wood beaded “F” and light fixture are Restoration Hardware Baby & Child. I love the zoo puzzle from Dwell Studio, the elephant nightlight from Land of Nod, and animal bookends from Serena & Lily. The wood blocks and elephant mobile are from independent designers on Etsy.  The baby animal artwork in both the nursery and loo are of course the inimitable Sharon Montrose, the orange LOVE print from Urban Country, and the gold foil home states of Mom & Dad are by Eric Beckett of GeekInk Design.
